CTO / MVP - Axians Infoma GmbH

Bio: Tobias Fenster started as a developer outside the Dynamics NAV world 20 years ago and came in contact with NAV in 2004, becoming part of Axians Infoma, a market leader in the German public sector for mainly finance solutions. Holding different positions in the company including Head of Technical Consulting and Head of Development before becoming CTO, Tobias is part of the Management Board at Axians Infoma. As lead project manager he was responsible for the migration project bringing the Infoma newsystem product family from NAV 2009 to 2013 R2. He again was the lead project manager when Axians Infoma had the first NAV 2017 based customer in production world-wide. Working with the Axians Infoma Partnergroup of data centers hosting up to 250 NAV databases but also establishing remote service offerings for very small customers running their own NAV installations he has experience in a wide range of NAV installations and the necessary infrastructure. As the Axians Infoma team for Release Management & Tooling is part of his responsibility he also knows about running a good number of internal development, testing, QA and migration environments and currently works on establishing a true DevOps pipeline for NAV on Team Foundation Server with a fully automated build creating the product package for over 1.000 customers. Tobias is the main author on navblog.infoma.de where he writes about NAV in connection with Docker and Windows Containers, but also tooling and the new Dev Environment. He holds a Microsoft MVP award since 2017.
